This film revolves around the current public perception in Ireland of the Climate Change question. Most of the public which are featured are not fully aware of the science, and have not really formed an opinion, which does fairly reflect the general consensus on the ground in the country. This documentary, shown on Ireland's national tv station, RTE, features only scientists and politicians on the side which believe that climate change is happening, and which believe that it is mostly human-induced. There are some excellent scientific & political points within this film, but it is by no means a debate of two ways of thinking, or a deep analysis of the science, to the point of proving it. Both Mary Robinson and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon are featured. The science which disputes this is completely overlooked, but you can check some of that out in 'Global Warming Doomsday Called Off', and some alternative views supporting climate change, albeit due to sun spots, can be found in 'Global Dimming'. |
