An insight into how the US military handled the media during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The film begins days before the invasion with independent producer, Jehane Noujaim, joining reporters from Al-Jazeera to do a fly on the wall film about their coverage of the impending war. He manages to capture a slice of what goes on behind the scenes at the CENTCOM media centre, while giving us a glimpse into Al-Jazeera's coverage of the war too. The story of how the US bombed Al-Jazeera's Baghdad offices, resulting in the death of reporter, Tareq Ayyoub, is also covered. |
