This film show how Iran's self-determination was taken away from it, by the US and UK security services and governments, over the past number of decades, with the support and direction of the Israeli regime. Iran had begun to develop it's own democratic system under the hugely popular Mohammad Mosaddegh from 1951 to 1953, but western powers felt unwilling to allow this to happen. Britain in particular was to play a large part in his overthrowing, to enable the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (known as BP nowadays) to grab Iran's most valuable resource for it's own use. BP shareholders were allotted 58% of profits from Iranian oil, after Iran was subjugated under the CIA/MI6 installed Shah, with a further 30% going to the British government, and a paltry 12% was given to Iran itself. The Shah held onto power in true dictatorship style, with torture playing a massive part in his governance. This eventually enforced the people of Iran to rise up against the Shah and his regime, during the 1979 'Islamic Revolution', which ultimately installed a repressive religious dictatorship, under the Ayatalloh Khomeini. Obama's discrimination against Iran continues the anti-Iranian trend in the west, particularly his acknowledgement of Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program (which is unproven, and at this point probably untrue), whilst not recognising that Israel has an arsenal (the only internationally illegal one on the planet). |
