A short BBC Newsnight investigation, by Greg Palast, that uncovers evidence of Florida Governor Jed Bush, along with his Republican Secretary Of State, Katherine Harris, conspiring to win the state's elections for his brother George's Presidential campaign in 2000. The 25 Electoral Votes that Bush got for winning the Florida vote, by a tiny margin of just 537 ballots from Al Gore, effectively handed him the White House. He then had 271 Electoral Votes, as compared to Gore's 266. This film was made just before the presidency was called, and seems to show corruption at the highest level within the Republican Party, but the weak response from the Democrats was just as vivid. |
