Rather than being a straight forward documentary which is full of facts and figures, this film instead tells the personal stories of some of those British men who travel to Thailand to buy love, and of some of the Thai women who offer themselves to them. What emerges is a sense of desperation from both sides, brought about due to the way they perceive themselves to be treated within their own society's, which has ultimately allowed this exploitation of Thai women to continue.
