Follows the campaign in Ireland against the US military use of Shannon Airport as a stop-over facility for their wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The American's used the airport in the build-up to the wars, and during the invasions, and they continue to use the airport for these purposes to this day for their occupations of both countries. In reality, most US troops heading to either country stop's off at Shannon en route, and it's well known in Ireland that the number of US troops that have passed through Shannon is now in the millions. And that's not even mentioning all of the equipment that has passed through, and the fact that it is also most probably being used for rendition flights too. |
