This film trys to give some background into the nature of dumbness, and attempts to explain the differences between an 'idiot' and an 'imbecile'. It's fast-paced production is highly entertaining, possibly feeding into that dumbness which it is supposed to be exposing, but it does give an excellent view of the extent to which dumbness has become ingrained in modern-day society. The Jackass crew and Dubya come in for special attention, but the range of media clips that are featured in this program prove that dumbness is everywhere. This may not be the most serious film we have featured here, but it works well as a prelude to the films we feature which highlight practices of population control. |
