The 'UEFA Team Of The Year' is chosen by football fans, through a public vote on the official Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) website. The UEFA.com writers choose a short-list of 60 players and coaches each year, and those polling votes get to choose their preferred team and coach selection, with a goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders and strikers positions to be filled by all pollsters. The awards are representative of a calendar year's performance in all European football competitions, and voting will open again in December 2010 to choose the 2010 UEFA Team Of The Year.
