# If counted separately, Lake Huron and Lake Michigan would be the second and third largest lakes in North America, and Lake Superior would be second, and would assume the mantle of the continent's largest freshwater lake from Michigan-Huron.
# If it were a natural lake, the Smallwood Reservoir (6,527 sq km / 2,520 sq miles - Canada) would be at number 10 in the chart below.
# No saltwater lakes have made the North American Top 10.
