Brazil is the fifth largest country in the World, and is the undisputed physical giant of South America, covering nearly half of the continent. It has a gigantic coastline stretching about 7,500 km (4,600 miles) along the Atlantic Ocean, and it borders Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela. Infact the only South American countries which Brazil does not border are Ecuador and Chile. The mainly Portuguese-speaking country is dominated by the Amazon basin, and it's extensive lands feature many river systems, mountain ranges and tropical forests.
