Stateless Persons In The World
Related Facts & Figures |
|
Below are a set of figures which tell us how many confirmed stateless people are currently residing in each Global nation, although the real figures may be almost double these estimates. According to the UNHCR... "At the end of 2009, there were 6.6 million persons around the world known to be stateless, though unofficially estimates range as high as 12 million". Stateless people may include displaced persons, expelled migrants, and those who are unable to prove their citizenship. |
