| Continent Location |
The geographical North American continent is made up from a large mainland, many small island nations and central American republics, with boundaries stretching across the Arctic Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea too. It's total physical size is mostly attributed to Canada, the United States, Greenland and Mexico, and overall, North America makes up just under 5% of the planet's total surface area - about 16.5% of the World's total land area - making it the third largest continent on the globe, after only Asia and Africa. |
