A Time for Choosing, also known as 'The Speech', was presented on a number of speaking occasions during the 1964 U.S. presidential election campaign by ex-Democrat Ronald Reagan on behalf of Republican candidate Barry Goldwater. Many other American rhetorical speeches made since the 60's, from both political parties, are often said to be inspired by this one in particular.
