|
|
| Born in Hawaii on August the 4th 1961, Barack Hussein Obama II entered the White House in January 2009, and hence became the 44th president of the United States. His historical election win during the previous November, was the first ever US presidential win by an African-American, who's numbers now edge towards the 40 million mark within the United States. Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, and he has practiced and taught law, before he served three terms in the Illinois State Senate between 1997 and 2004. In 2004 he then won a seat in the US National Senate, and served there until 2008, when he proceeded to go for the US presidency. |
