Free Me offers a glimpse into the lives of the 3 activist US graduates jailed in Iran since June 2009 - Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd and Josh Fattal. Called 'spies' by Iranian authorities the film uses video footage from Darfur, Syria and the USA to prove otherwise. The film also questions the method and motives behind those who 'arrested them' allegedly for illegally crossing into Iran while on a walking holiday in Iraqi Kurdistan. This film shows the truth, using footage from Shane's work as a film-maker & journalist in Darfur, Sarah's work with refugees in Syria, and Josh's environmental work in the USA. The support of noted social activists, such as Noam Chomsky & Angela Davis, highlights how these three innocent civilians are being used as pawns in a political game between the US and Iran.
