This interview contains two important subjects. Firstly, Olbermann reports on the US bank bailout, with Michael Moore summing up how that came about very well..."What they [Banks] did was, they encouraged all of their bank officers and loan officers to give loans/mortgages that they shouldn't have been granting. OK, then they resold those, they bundled them up and sold them off to make money off it, and then they took bets against those mortgages that they knew were going to collapse, so they could make even more money. And then, after the house of cards came down, they want you and I to pay for it". Secondly, Olbermann talks about Bush's memoirs, and Moore responds with an offer to MSNBC..."My plea if Mr. Immelt or anyone who's watching here at GE -- I will give them, for free, 'Fahrenheit 9/11' to run on NBC as balance to all this publicity that they've been giving President Bush this week and his answers about how the worst thing that happened to him was Kanye West. I hope we never forget what this man did". |
